From 22 to 25 August 2025, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), at the invitation of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism of Brunei, organised a cultural tour to Brunei for the Chinese online influencers from the Chinese video platform Bilibili. The initiative aims to enhance the people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN Member States and China, and to deepen the friendship among the youth of both sides through new media channels.
Ms. Salinah Salleh, Acting Director of the Brunei Tourism Department, met with the delegation. She expressed the hope that the influencers would introduce the unique cultural and tourism resources of Brunei to more young people in China through their firsthand experiences, further promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
The delegation visited historical, cultural, and natural attractions in the capital city Bandar Seri Begawan and participated in local traditional cultural activities. They were also immersed in the cultural vitality of Brunei through the capital’s community celebration “Bandarku Ceria.”
