On 20 August 2025, the 2025 Lancang-Mekong International Video and Photography Week was successfully launched in Yushu, Qinghai Province, under the theme of “Drinking Water from the Same River, the Light and Image Shining on Lancang-Mekong Area”. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), delivered an online speech, highlighting that the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation spans in multiple fields. It has not only injected fresh vitality into ASEAN-China cooperation and regional prosperity, but also became a model for regional cooperation, representing a rising voice for the Global South. The event provides a valuable platform to showcase the remarkable achievements in economic development, ecological conservation, cultural landscapes and other fields within the Lancang-Mekong basin. Against the backdrop of the 2025 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges, the event contributes to deepening amity, trust and understanding among the peoples of our region. 

Ms. Napasorn Bhuvaborirak, Director of Information and Public Relations Division of the ACC, attended related events in Yushu, including the visit to the Lancang River System and learned about the rural revival achievement of Nangqian County along with diplomats from Mekong countries and media representatives.
