ACC Representatives Attended The 3rd Xiangtan Entrepreneurs Convention

On 13 September 2022, the 3rd Xiangtan Entrepreneurs Convention and the Investment Promotion Conference were hosted by the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee and Xiangtan Municipal People’s Government in Xiangtan, Hunan Province. Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of Trade and Investment Division of the ASEAN-China Centre, attended the event.

Mr. Zhang Jian, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC of Hunan Province and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Liu Zhiren, Secretary of CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee, and Mr. Hu Hebo, Deputy Secretary of CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Xiangtan, delivered speeches respectively, welcoming guests and expressing the expectation of further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with all sides to jointly promote the high-quality development of Xiangtan. The Xiangtan’s investment promotion advertising video was played on the convention. Ms. Zhou Yanxi, Vice Mayor of Xiangtan City, and other officers briefed on local investment promotion policies. There were also reward giving, project contract signing, and cultural shows performed by the young entrepreneurs of Xiangtan.

The theme of the convention is “Xiangtan City: Everyone, entrepreneur; Everywhere, opportunity”. Approximately 400 representatives from the government departments of Hunan Province and Xiangtan City, “3 types of Top 500 enterprises”, leading enterprises of the emerging industrial chains, and Xiangtan business associations in other locations, attended the conference. During the event, activities including the forum on economic and trade cooperation between overseas Chinese enterprises, the visit to Xiangtan by well-known Hunan entrepreneurs and the seminar for chair persons of Xiangtan business associations in other locations, and field visits to local enterprises were also held.
