On 24 September 2021, the ASEAN-China Rising Star Innovation Lab, co-hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), was held in Guiyang during the 2021 CAECW. Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ACC, attended and presented awards to the winning institutions.
Dr. Liu Limin, President of CEAIE, Mdm. Liu Jin, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of MoE of China, Mr. Wang Yongli, Secretary-General of CEAIE, education officials from embassies of ASEAN Member States (AMS) to China and representatives from vocational institutions of both China and AMS attended the event online and offline.
At the opening ceremony, President Liu Limin, Director-General Liu Jin and Secretary-General Chen Dehai jointly presented the flags to the teams of the ASEAN-China Rising Star Innovation Lab.
60 ASEAN and Chinese students from 12 Chinese vocational institutions exchanged skills and presented their entrepreneurial projects around the theme of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Arianto Surojo, Director of Information and Public Relations Division of ACC, made on-site comments for the project roadshows of the 12 teams.
