The main object of the manau festival is the attainment of riches, blessings, and a large family by the person who holds it. Manau dances are flourished and guns are fired to emphasize the completeness of the victory, The Kumran Manao which is held when a member of a chief’s family leaves for a new country. It is intended to inform the spirits of the departure of the elder brother and to ask them to protect him in his new home. This famous festival in Myanmar is a joint festivity of New Year, battle victories, the tribes reunion and the tradition. Manau poles are erected and tribes dance around the poles. This is one of the delightful and popular festivals in Myanmar.
