On 7 September 2025, the “Orchids in Bloom ---- Sino-Foreign Intangible Cultural Heritage Fashion Show for International Cultural Exchange” was successfully held during the 2025 China Fashion Week in Beijing. The event was jointly organized by International Communication Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and the China Fashion Association and supported by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). It aims to showcase the cultural richness and diversity through fashion and the latest achievements in the creative transformation and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage.
On behalf of the ASEAN Committee in Beijing, Ambassador Chatchai Viriyavejakul of Thailand to China delivered an opening speech, jointly with Mr. Yu Yingfu, Vice President of China International Communications Group. Ambassador Pehin Dato Rahmani of Brunei Darussalam to China, Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz of the Philippines to China and his spouse, and other diplomats from ASEAN embassies also attended this event. Diplomats from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam presented their traditional costumes that reflect their respective cultural identities. At the event, exquisite ethnic costumes from China and ASEAN countries were displayed in succession, highlighting the interaction and mutual enrichment of Asian civilizations.
More than 400 people, including Ms. Napasorn Bhuvaborirak, Director of Information and Public Relations Division of the ACC, members of the diplomatic community, guests of the Orchid Award and enterprise representatives, were invited to attend this event, which received a warm response on the spot.
