On 15 August 2025, during his attendance at the  ASEAN-China Innovative Economic Forum 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, H.E. Ambassador Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre, met with H.E. Zhang Jianwei, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand.

Secretary General Shi Zhongjun briefed on his visit to Thailand. He expressed the willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Embassy to promote China-Thailand and China-ASEAN cooperation in fields of trade, investment, tourism, education, and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to regional economic sustainable development and the improvement of people's well-being. Ambassador Zhang Jianwei highlighted the progress and prospects of China-Thailand cooperation, expressing expectation to strengthen exchanges and collaboration with the ACC to jointly promote friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and ASEAN, and advance the building of a closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future.
