On 4 August 2025, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) paid a visit to the Secretariat of the China-Central Asia Format in Xi’an, where he met with Sun Weidong, Secretary General of the Secretariat.
They exchanged developments on their recent work, and affirmed their readiness to further strengthen communication and coordination between the two organisations, and work together to advance tripartite cooperation among China, ASEAN, and Central Asian countries in areas such as tourism, trade and agriculture, so as to jointly promote regional development and prosperity.
