From May 24th to 29th, 2025, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), in a joint effort with the China International Communications Group (CICG), co-sponsored a familiarization trip titled “Rediscovering Henan: The Ancient Roots with Modern Wings” across the enchanting landscapes of Henan Province, China.
More than 50 participants, including H.E. Kem Gunawadh, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Information of Cambodia, H.E. Phan Tam, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, along with media representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS) and diplomatic envoys of AMS in China, embarked on a series of visits to Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Anyang in Henan Province. During these visits, they delved deep into Henan's rich historical and cultural tapestry, getting a first-hand taste of its profound heritage. Moreover, they were able to witness the remarkable and all-round achievements that Henan has made in economic and social development.
