From June 16 to 20 2025, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), in collaboration with the UNESCO International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education (UNESCO-INRULED), the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED), and the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia (UNESCO Beijing), hosted the ASEAN-China TVET Policymakers Workshop in Beijing. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ACC, Deputy Director of the University Council of Beijing Normal University and Director of UNESCO INRULED Zhou Zuoyu, and Deputy Secretary-General An Yan of CEAIE addressed the Opening. Shahbaz Khan, Director of UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in East Asia, delivered a video speech. Deputy Director-General Li Yingli of the Department of Vocational and Adult Education, MOE China, presented the keynote speech. Through policy dialogues, case studies and field visits, vocational education policymakers, administrators, and experts from China and ASEAN countries collaboratively explored talent development strategies and capacity-building approaches to empower industrial development.
