On 20 April 2025, Ambassador Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with H.E. Chinese Ambassador Wang Lutong to Indonesia, in Jakarta. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and China and building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.
They noted that Indonesia is a major ASEAN country and this year marks not only the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges but also the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia and the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference. The ACC and the Chinese Embassy will remain in close coordination and communication to boost cooperation between China and Indonesia across all sectors, and contribute to deepening ASEAN-China and China-Indonesia relations, enhancing connectivity between peoples, and bridging mutual understanding.
