From 26 to 28 May 2021, China Wuling Culture and Tourism Summit was held in Wulong District, Chongqing City. About 1,000 representatives of China’s central governmental organizations, local culture and tourism authorities, travel associations, enterprises, media and other sectors attended the summit. Mr. Wang Xiaofeng, Member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, Mr. Zhang Ming, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Mr. Huang Zonghua, Secretary of the CPC Wulong District Committee, Mr. Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Academy addressed the Summit, and offered suggestions on the development of cultural and tourism industry in Wuling Mountain area.
The summit comprised a series of events including the Opening Ceremony and Forum, Wuling Mountain Culture and Tourism Development Alliance Conference, Tourism Products Exhibition, Culture and Tourism Projects Presentation, etc. The representative of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) attended the summit upon invitation, and extensively exchanged views with other participants on such topics as mountain tourism revitalization and development of ASEAN-China tourism cooperation.
