Vice-Governor of Hubei Province Met with ACC Secretary-General (2019-6-20)

On 20 June 2019, Mr. Zhao Haishan, Vice Governor of Hubei Province met with Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) in Wuhan.

Vice Governor Zhao Haishan warmly welcomed Secretary-General Chen Dehai to the First Forum on China Pilot Free Trade Zone Development. Located in the central part of China, Hubei Province undertakes the important responsibility of creating an open inland corridor, he said. ASEAN is a priority in Hubei’s engagement in the Belt and Road international cooperation. Hubei hopes to strengthen connection with ACC and deepen exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries in all fields.

Secretary-General Chen Dehai thanked the Hubei Provincial Government for its care and support for the work of the ACC. He introduced the mandate and role of ACC and the current development of ASEAN-China relations, and applauded the achievements of economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between Hubei Province and ASEAN countries. He said that cooperation between the two sides has great potential, and ACC is willing to play a bridging role to promote practical cooperation between Hubei Province and ASEAN to a new level.
