On 20 July 2015, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Secretary-General H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping met with Prof. Cai Changzhuo, Deputy Director-General of Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Prof. Cai briefly introduced the general education cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN Member States, expressed his gratitude to ACC for the continued support to Guangxi, and highly praised the efforts ACC had made in promoting ASEAN-China education cooperation. He expressed his willingness to have a closer contact and exchanges with ACC, and proposed to co-host some activities to further promote education cooperation between ASEAN and China.
Secretary-General Yang highly appreciated the efforts and achievements that Guangxi had made in cultivating talents for ASEAN and promoting exchanges and communication among the youth. She also thanked Guangxi Education Department for its support to ACC and said that ACC would like to work closely with Guangxi Education Department to further promote ASEAN-China functional education cooperation and enhance ASEAN-China people-to-people exchanges.
