Acting Secretary-General and Director of GACD of ACC Met with Vice Chairman of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation

On 4 March 2015, Ms. Huang Ying, Acting Secretary-General and Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD) of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) paid a visit to China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) and exchanged views with Mr. Jing Dunquan, Vice Chairman of CSCLF, on promoting ASEAN-China people-to-people exchanges and cooperation .

Mr. Jing introduced the mission of CSCLF and the international exchanges it carried out. Established on 29 May 1981, in commemoration of Soong Ching Ling, the late Honorary President of the People's Republic of China, CSCLF is committed to promoting friendly international relations, safeguarding world peace, developing the work of younger generation. CSCLF actively conducted international exchanges and achieved fruitful results. Mr. Jing hoped to work with ACC in promoting ASEAN-China people-to-people connectivity.

Ms. Huang Ying briefed on the missions and roles of ACC and the work ACC has achieved in the area of people-to-people exchanges. As an inter-governmental organization, one of its main tasks is to promote ASEAN-China people-to-people exchanges and cooperation. Ms. Huang expressed ACC's willingness to cooperate with CSCLF in strengthening the people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN and China.
