From 10 to 20 August, 4 to 16 September, 17 September to 2 October, 2013, ASEAN-China Centre and China Central Television jointly sent TV crews to Thailand, shooting documentaries on tourist attractions and delicacies in Bangkok, Chiangmai, Chiangrai and Phuket, which are favorite destinations for Chinese travelers. The crews also interviewed representatives from the Royal Museum, Joe Louis Puppet Theatre and the Royal Institute of Art, reflecting unique culture of Thailand as a travel destination.
One of ACC’s main tasks is to promote tourism cooperation between ASEAN Member States and China. All footages shot in Thailand will be created into two tourism documentaries, namely “Amazing Thailand” and “Taste Thailand”, which are scheduled to be broadcast as a part of “Discovery Southeast Asia” and “Taste Southeast Asia” on CCTV from January 2014.
